Description:

The original battery holder in the Metz 45 flash is made of plastic that becomes brittle after decades and eventually breaks. Metz no longer supplies replacements. This holder solves the problem: made from PLA+, designed as a 1:1 replacement for the Metz 45-39.

The Metz 45 series internally uses two separate input circuits — one for lower voltages (rechargeables) and one for higher voltages (alkaline). That’s why the holder comes in two versions. The Ni-Mh version (7.2V) is designed for rechargeable 1.2V batteries like Eneloop and uses the circuit with the lower cutoff voltage. The Alkaline version (9V) works with 1.5V disposable batteries or 1.5V Li-Ion cells via the 9V circuit.

Important: Never charge the cells in the original Metz charger. Charge batteries externally, then insert them into the holder — done.
