Modular Reproduction Stand "Copy Stand" MK2 for DSLR & Mirrorless Camera Film Scanning

• Tilt-free up to 1.5 kg. The aluminum profile sits flush in a 20 mm screen-printed board—CNC-milled, four M6 threaded inserts. Not screwed on, recessed. From about 1.9 kg total load on the arm, the profile bends slightly. Scanning is still possible but noticeably at the limit. Not designed for heavy-duty setups with bellows, macro rails, and heavy ball heads.
• Assembly and disassembly without tools. Two fast-lock clamps secure the profile in seconds. Then disassemble and store under your desk.
• 3/8" thread – your tripod head fits. Professional standard, more durable than 1/4-20. Compatible with all common ball heads and adapter plates.
• 35 mm up to 4×5 large format. 56 cm usable camera height is enough for 35 mm with any macro lens and 120 roll film up to ~100 mm focal length. The 32×32 cm base plate is also stable with large negative holders.
• Modular system. Compatible with the Film Scanner Holder (negative holder for 35 mm, 120, 110, Minox) and light sources like the CineStill CS-LITE.

The copy stand is our repro stand for photographers who scan negatives and slides with a digital camera. The core is the base plate: 20 mm screen-printed board—the same material used in trade fair construction for load-bearing floors. The CNC recess and four M6 threaded inserts ensure the profile doesn’t tilt or shift under load. Instead of a fixed camera head, the profile has a 3/8" mount—you use your own tripod head and keep full control over fine adjustment and positioning.

The copy stand is the foundation of our film scanning system. Complete it with a negative holder from the Film Scanner Holder System and a light source for a full scanning workflow.
