Description

Every user of a Minolta XK or XM Motor knows the annoying issue: the snap hooks of the battery compartment cover eventually give out. In close collaboration with the experts from SilvergrainClassics, we tackled this problem and not only replaced the part but technically improved it significantly.

Our version 2 (V2) specifically addresses the problem of "material creep," which we identified with the help of materials scientists as the main cause of breakage. Made from high-strength, carbon fiber-reinforced PETG, this cover is much more robust than the original. Additionally, shorter springs reduce constant pressure on the hooks. A small, protruding pin also ensures you cannot insert the cover the wrong way around.
